The father has faded in their life.
Yea, I immediately thought what a sad picture, Dad does not figure..happened to me, affecting me for the rest of my life. SO sad.

Unless he was a very bad man, it usually is a great loss. You are not alone. I lost my father when I was young, but at least had him for some years
