There is a section of (South Ferry) Battery park cordoned off by a fence made of black mesh. Air, or viewing slits have been cut by two slashes with a knife or scissors.
The effect creates rabbit ears, or hearts. Looks like my picture above. Seeing is believing. Really. Maybe I can upload a photo in the near future.
