The HMS Pickle was a schooner (I believe) that was dispatched after the battle of Trafalgar where Admiral Lord Nelson lost his life. It brought the news to England. Every year since that battle and the day of the HMS Pickle messenger mission there is a celebration in England and in New York. I was happy to attend this year’s celebration in NY.
