Many musicians are sensitive about having other people “try” their instruments. It is hard to find a polite way to say “no” in those situations.
It is like having your child sit on some weird persons knee. 2 out of 3 persons are usually unhappy about that situation.
In this sketch, you can see the man with the short arms eagerly receiving the violin from the reluctant violinist. I
like very much the third person reaching for a drink, badly needed in this situation. (Also, the bird will fly away at the first scratch from the novice)
