One thought on “Gag at the Gig”
I was playing a concert one time many years ago, and a violinist that was a terrible player insisted on performing first. There were other musicians that had to leave quickly after they played, but he insisted. He was mean and selfish. I saw some paper doll masks laying on a table, so I stuck one on a stick and put it above the make-shift curtain. The audience went nuts every time it appeared. He was very confused as to why the audience kept pointing and laughing. He was playing from music and couldn’t turn around to see. He never found out why. Years later I heard he had fortunately quit (for the audience’s sake) the violin and became a real estate agent.
