During the French Revolution anyone that dressed well, was educated, upper-crust, or from nobility-elite classes, were in danger of the peasants. The elegant clothes were discarded and replaced by rags as to blend in with the murderous lynching mobs. People were pointing fingers and accusing each other of being on the wrong side of the revolution etc. In the name of justice much was lost. Viva la elegance and dignity! Ha! This sketch reminds me of the tyranny lurking behind each person’s back. (At least in France during the revolutionary era)
