This is as view of the desk and chair of Mr. Jacques Francais (my employer). He was a world famous violin expert and dealer.
He was tall and strikingly handsome. He was a kind and gentle man who instructed me well in many categories regarding business and life, through example. I do miss him. The shop was across the street from Carnegie Hall. I was his only associate and one secretary.
I met many famous musicians including Stephan Grappelli and Isaac Stern and many others.
